The Danish ENT Academy (DENTA) successfully hosted the first Danish Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) Symposium2023. Held at the Comwell Køge Strand Hotel on October 5-6, this symposium served as a platform for experts in OSA to explore the latest developments in diagnosis and treatment.

Key discussions focused on topics such as Drug-Induced Sedation Endoscopy (D.I.S.E.) and surgical decision making, the effectiveness of nasal surgery in OSA, and considerations specific to OSA in children and adolescents. We also delved into radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and palatal implants, as well as the use of technologies such as hypoglossal nerve stimulation and transoral robotic surgery. Additionally, we explored the impact of facial and dental aspects in OSA treatment.

Beyond the intellectually stimulating discussions, this event provided an opportunity for attendees to connect in the beautiful coastal setting of Køge. The natural beauty of the location, combined with Danish hospitality, culture, and delicious cuisine, created an unforgettable experience.

There was also the inaugural meeting of the Danish Society for Sleep Surgeons.
